For people thinking about getting Married what advice would you give them?

I've been married 4 years.

What if your cousin wanted advice from you what would you tell him or her?

What makes a marriage strong?

What makes a marriage last? For people thinking about getting Married what advice would you give them?
Ask yourself:- Was your first attraction to your partner their looks, or were you drawn to their personality. If you were initially attracted by looks, chances are you are infatuated. That will die, given time. If you love the person, love will live on. Too may people dolly themselves up to the eyeballs, in order to attract a mate. Then they wonder why their partner is attracted to other nice looking people and not so attracted to them when their looks fade. Attract a listener, not a looker. Very few actually change after marriage. For people thinking about getting Married what advice would you give them?
It is definity about compromise!!! you will not always get what you want!!
Communication

Trust

Love

Loyalty

Love making

Closeness

Tenderness

Time together and time apart

Respect of eachothers beleifs etc

honour and protection for eachother

Friendship and much much more

Learn to compromise.
Trust. Unconditional love. Communication (before the marriage and during). Good sex! You need ALL of those in order to have a successful, long marriage.

Advice for the engaged? Discuss EVERYTHING before hand (ie: children, money, the future, personal beliefs and morals) There should be no secrets in a marriage. One other piece of advice.....for the woman: Let the little sh*t slide! Don't become a bitter, old nag.
Choose the right partner!!!!!

I married a man with an even temperament, and it is such a blessing. He never loses his temper, or is moody.

Marry a man who wants to be married, and to you.

Always treat your partner with respect.

Be affectionate. Talk things through. And always, always, always, talk!!!!
Chemistry, respect, commonalities, friendship, comfort, good conflict-resolution, trust, happiness, same maturity despite age, cultural similarities, families like each other, positive outlook on life, willing to love the person unconditionally from start to finish, in sickness and health. Is that enough?
COMMUNICATION is the key!! try to talk about everything even if it seems to be the stupidest thing TALK AND DISCUSS IT!!!

-TRUST

-LOVE

-UNDERSTANDING EACH OTHER...
learn to talk and understand what is important to each other. some things i do not like i let go because it is just how she is and she does the same for me. Example most of the sink and dresser top is covered in junk (her fault i would throw it all out) and i got lots of truck parts somewhat organized but laying out in my yard and under my shed. Just understand each other. Talk about what each wants and is important to them.

Anyone that has had success in doing so, please respond. I am moving to Indiana in the fall as a part-time student and my ability to do so, hinges on my ability to establish residency in the state (big difference between $1000 tuition and $3500 tuition).

Can you please help me by offering advice on writing my story?

I'm writing a story that's written in journal format. (As if the story is happening through someone's Diary or Journal.) My question for you is:

Which should I do? Start off with a normal day in his life before the action? Or start off with the action immeadiately? Can you please help me by offering advice on writing my story?
make sure to write the date. and maybe sign it too.

maybe for the first chapter make it just a normal day. introduce the characters a bit. then for other chapters have awesome stuff in them ^-^

good luck! Can you please help me by offering advice on writing my story?
I would start out with a normal day and give a little background info and insight into your character before jumping into the action. You can explain what your character is feeling like fear or joy. This lets your readers feel like they know your character on a personal level and they will be more emotionally involved when the action starts.
some might say start off with a normal day so the reader understands and gets to know the character, but if you do readers will get bored unless his normal day is something very interesting or if his normal day ends with action.

So my advice would be to go straight into the actions so your reader enjoys straight from the start, so your reader won't know the character, that can be built up in time

Edit- i really don't think you should start with a normal day, i've tried to write those, and read them, your opening pages always need to be engaging, if your reader is bored they will not want to read on, there is no incentive to keep going, no promise of excitement any time soon, normal peoples lives are not what people read
jump right into the action and then maybe have the character remembering certain things about his life prior to the action in the journal, ex'; i remember when i actually thought we had a future. things are so different now between us. her words were so sincere back then, i truly believed she loved me';...just a thought, hope i helped.
Begin with a compelling statement before spending a brief period on the protagonist's normal life. Something that foreshadows the conflict to come.

This was the day I realized many would probably die, my choice was to figure out how to save as many as I can, etc...
You should start with the action. As the story progresses, your narrator can have flashbacks about his/her past life. Just my opinion; your story could work either way, as long as it's well written.
Start out with a normal day. In fact, start out with several normal days. That way, the reader gets to know the character.
i reckon do what the first answer says but have clues or events that lead or link to the action of the story.

Where can I get some free legal advice in UK?

We have power of attorney over my husband's uncle, and he has got himself into a fix with some litigation against him. We have only just got involved, and it has been going on for years. He has a date for county court, this time we are going as he has ignored everything in the past as he was given wrong information from other members of the family. Costs etc have mounted, do you think even at this last stage we might get a friendly judge who might just see what has gone on and help him. He is 85 and only asset is his house. How much would it cost for a solicitor? Rough estimate would be ok.Where can I get some free legal advice in UK?
I would got to your Citizens Advice Bureau, they have a list of solicitors who will give you 15 minutes of free advice. You could then explain everything to the solicitor and also ask him how much he would charge for acting on your behalf. Best of luck.Where can I get some free legal advice in UK?
Go to any solicitor, usually your first appointment is free, ask their advice and go from there. It is to hoped that any judge would take into account your uncles age but the law is the law.
i would contact the citizens advice bureau or help the aged are very good, they will put you in touch with the right person as i think they deal with this kind of thing a lot of the time

  • Advice on how to get rid of darkness under my arms?

I am african American and my underarms are dark. It looks like I dont shave but I ashave and there is no hair their. I cant wear tank tops and It is really embarrasing. What can I do to make the color even out to the same color as the rest of my body?Advice on how to get rid of darkness under my arms?
Ashy skin under your arms (or on elbows or knees) is basically dead skin buildup. It's not from shaving. Exfoliation is the key to getting rid of it!

Use a scrub or loofah on your armpits in the shower, then apply a lotion with hydroxy acids at bedtime. Creams with stronger acids (like those made for smoothing your feet) work well, but DON'T use them right after waxing or shaving - it'll sting like heck!

I really like the True Blue Spa cream called ';Heel of Approval,'; which is sold at Bath and Body Works. it has glycolic acid in it. Just rub a little on before bed and wake up to brighter-looking armpits!

Advice on how to deal with boyfriend problems?

My boyfriend has more experience with relationships than I do. He's done stuff with girls that I've never done with guys. It makes me disappointed that when we kiss and do stuff together, I know that he's already done it before. Should I get over it, or do I have a good reason to cry at night sometimes? Advice on how to deal with boyfriend problems?
Don't worry about it at all. I'm a virgin and my boyfriend is not. I know how awkward or intimidated you feel because you haven't entered that ';uncharted territory'; before. it's perfectly normal to feel upset, but dont let it get to you. just know that if it was meant to work between him and last girls then he would still be with them but he chooses to be with you and thats all that matter. =]Advice on how to deal with boyfriend problems?
me and my bf have been dating for over 8 to 9 months and hes more experienced than i am just dont worry about i try not to but sometimes you just have to forget about it and move on.

im on the opposite side of you. im my boyfriends first girlfriend, but i've had plenty before him and i feel terrible. i know for Tyler, my boyfriend, he's definetaly not happy, and he too has admited to crying because of it. he can't imagine someone else holding me, or kissing me the way he does. i think that the problem now is not your boyfriends previous relationships, but the one he's in now, with you. is he someone you could spend the rest of your life with? is he someone you could trust to never do anything with girls, except for you as long as you together? if you two are meant for each other, you will definatly be able to get over the fact that he has a past and focus on the future you two have together.
i guess it depends how far he's gone with another girl.

i know how you feel tho. when me and my boyfriend first got together, i thought that he had more experience than me. but it turned out that he really didn't. his (very jealous) ex-girlfriend made up a bunch of stories to tell me, to try to get him back. and she still makes up stories about me %26amp; him.

but what i'm trying to say is...don't feel bad, cause the past is the past. what's done is done. and if he's with you now, that's all that really matters. right?
I think you should totally get over it and find something exciting and new that maybe neither one of you has done before to blow his mind!!
    get over it;

or break up, date some other guys, get some experience, and get back together with him to make yourself feel good.

    which choice seems more sane?

I need to build a model of the Santa Croce church in Florence Italy. Any advice on model building?

Size isn't a huge thing and I have a decent amount of time. But I sport very little model building skill so if anyone could help me with some advice on how to model something like this that would be great.I need to build a model of the Santa Croce church in Florence Italy. Any advice on model building?
Use little toothpicks. The flat sided ones and glue them together. Build one wall at a time. Below is a place to get the toothpicks cheap.
