I'm trying to decide what to do when I transfer to a university, and I was just looking for some advice. I'm going for an animation degree, and I'm trying to decide what minors I should go for.Do you have any advice on what minors I should take with an animation major?
You could minor in something related to your future profession. But what, exactly, you minored in would depend on what direction you think your animation will take, and what skills you feel would be useful to you.
So, for example, you could minor in Japanese language or Japanese/Asian studies if your interest was Manga, or you could minor in business if you thought you might do animation independantly someday, or minor in illustration to support your art, or in computer science/programming to beef up that part of your resume, or in writing, or in film, or in creative writing, or sound design, or lighting, or theater/acting... Any of these could be helpful to you in your future career.
You can see that you have a *lot* of options.
Think about what the school offers for minors, and how each of those might impact your work, your future employability, and which are of interest to you, personally. Then pick.
