I am PCSing to 1st Group and would like to be close enough to ride my bike or walk to work.Can someone give me some advice on a good neighborhood to buy a house outside of Ft Lewis?
There is no area that has a good neighborhood that you can walk to the base. I live in Spanaway on Brookdale golf course and you could ride a bike to work from there. Stay away from Parkland its a dump area. Spanaway has great schools, homes range around $200K to 275K for a 3-4 bedromm, 1.75 bath and most are in nice sub-divisions and family areas. Good luck.
