Or know of any good websites with advice?Anyone have any good advice for a beginning break-dancer?
hmm. just make sure you don't break anything or any part of your body. i guess you have to take formal lessons for it so you'll know how to move that move...a couple of gymnastics too will do.Anyone have any good advice for a beginning break-dancer?
Give it up - break dancing went out 20 yrs ago
Aren't you about 25 years late on that one? Or is break dancing making a come back?
look for videos online. There are several websites that explain how to do various break moves, but reading is not going to mean you know how to do it. You need to practice. You need to stretch a lot so you don't pull muscles. I bought a piece of linoleum remnant to practice on. Go outside and put it on the grass so you don't bruise yourself all over. Bring a boombox so you can practice moving with the flow. Some other things you can do is learn Poppin %26amp; Lockin and liquid. They are fun and go well with breakin. Breaking is fun but very physically demanding. Look for a guy called ';Breaker.'; He has videos. Start with the basic stuff like 6-step and swipes. Also, toprocking is important in any break routine to keep it flowing and looking good.
