I will be doing 3-4 mile walk,followed by 2 hour break followed by another 3-4 mile walk home,every day.Should I pack some food and take it with me?What drink would be best?How do I soothe my muscles when I get home?I need advice about food/drink,please read below?How best to look after myself?
having a large bottle of water is good, but you should also have a drink with sugar in it, like Gatorade. bananas are good to eat, but protein shakes, fish, or a lean meat like turkey are good things to pack. such as a chocolate protein shake, a tuna fish sandwich, or a turkey sandwich. stay hydrated and you should be fine. as for the sweatiness, if your so worried about it, you could use an antiperspirant. but i don't recommend it, antiperspirant clog the skin, trapping the sweat inside your body. studies have shown that repeated antiperspirant use can lead to certain kinds of cancer, so proceed with caution when using such products.I need advice about food/drink,please read below?How best to look after myself?
Whatever you do DO NOT go walking or do any exercise with food in your belly.
That is nothing but dangerous, people who don't know any better shouldn't advice people about this stuff.
Apart from this, do what you want. Make sure you wear good shoes. 8 miles a day isn't the earth but isn't little either if you do it every day.
Drink water only.
Why are you walking in the first place? If your trying to lose weight then its best if you run for a minimum of 30 minutes empty stomach rather than walking that many miles. Food that contains alot of carbohydrates would be best as that would give you energy which would help you walk. An orange juice or water would be best. NO ENERGY DRINKS they are all fake.

it is always advisable to eat at home as packing is another hassal ..make sure you eat some thing before heading to walk any drink wich suits you (low suger ,low fat)could be taken ,get some small towel in bulk daily use one on the way and wash all in bulk at the end of week............keep walking be healthy
water is the best, when you do walks, i advise you bring a drinking bottle (water) for you, avoid dehydration, as for the foods eat protein for energy, also carbs but preferrably eat carbs early in the day. soothing your muscles? A self massage may help..
