Any advice on getting a work permit as a chef in Australia?

I am a chef currently working in California and am interested in moving to Sydney, Australia. Any advice or suggestion on obtaining a work permit?

Check with the Department of Immigration Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs to see what the criteria is.... there are lots of visa categories and it depends on whether your line of work is in demand here, if you have a sponsor, etc etc etc
